JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate will

  • Support, lead and protect Identity Malta’s Agency data and systems using advanced security and monitoring tools to evaluate, and manage IT operations.
  • Identify threats, mitigate vulnerabilities, and anticipate future cybersecurity challenges.
  • be required to lead business areas and be responsible in managing a diverse range of cyber security projects. As a Cyber security officer, you will need to ensure constant development in operational polices, compliance, risk management, security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor technological and operational changes to ICT security systems activities accordingly.
  • Perform audit and security compliance checks, including network penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and other configuration analysis.
  • Provide guidance to IMA’s personnel on information security policies, regulations, guidelines, and best practices
  • Conduct Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) activities, review, and assessment of security events and logs via cyber security /event management tools.
  • Coordinate conformity assessments and policy reviews with top management and CIO.
  • Report incidents, whilst developing threat models and security risk assessments.
  • Adhere to the Certificate Authority policies, observe EU regulation(s), and directives.
  • Conduct mitigations to countermeasure and address risks, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • Provide monthly reporting on security issues, audit mitigation, project assignments, etc.
  • Serve as a liaison for internal business stakeholders including senior management.
  • Review and validate security documentation, including system security requirements, tenders, procurement of new equipment/solutions.
  • Monitor network systems by establishing and enforcing network security policies

Qualifications required:

  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in an ICT security field holding a valid CISA or equivalent certificate

OR

  • MQF Level 6 (Degree) in ICT Computer Security/Engineering field.

Personal attributes:

  • Excellent knowledge in authentication protocols & cryptographic mechanisms.
  • Extensive knowledge in Vulnerability scanners, firewalls, routers and other security tools.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS-Windows Servers & Linux Server environments.
  • Working knowledge of PKI products, security management & administration services.
  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate effectively, self-awareness, and excellent written and oral communications.
  • Experience in the implementation and review of policies and procedures.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal business and technical communication skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide efficient and effective support, advice and strategic direction and policy options to the Chief Officer Legal and the CEO of the Agency on all matters related to the different units of the Agency, whether they are of a legal, technical or administrative nature and to translate approved policies into strategic plans for implementation.
  • Update the Units’ information leaflets and information Ministry’s website in accordance with changes that may be effected to legislation or necessitated by the EU Acquis.
  • Produce the necessary business plans and financial estimates.
  • Assess legal documents of the organization and to ensure legal protection of the organization.
  • Assist various units and Senior Management of the Agency regarding issues of legal nature.
  • Be fully conversant with Acts pertaining to the units to which one is assigned.
  • To make sure that all legal formalities and other obligations related to the Unit are fulfilled in time.
  • To make sure that high level secrecy and privacy for all legal data is maintained for the Agency.
  • To work as part of a team in delivering a diligent and timely service that will require an element of flexibility to address other tasks outside of the Legal Officer core role as and when they arise.
  • Oversee the proper implementation of all the Acts of law which fall under the responsibility of the assigned Unit at Identity Malta Agency.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Chief Officer Legal or Chief Executive Officer.

Qualifications required:

  • A degree in Law and a minimum of two years’ experience in a Legal office.
  • Experience in legal sphere (Legal Office, legal secretary or executive officer) will be considered as asset.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and decision making skills.
  • The ability to build strong and effective working relationships with colleagues with a clear focus on his/her own contribution to the team ethic.
  • Be flexible in his/her approach with the ability to work with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Be able to represent the Agency in a professional manner.
