e-ID Single Sign On Account
When applying for an e-ID card or e-Residence Permit card, applicants may subscribe for their e-ID Single Sign On (SSO) account, which is required to access Government online services. Following the receipt of an application by the Identity Card Unit, the identity of the applicant is verified and an activation link, together with a step-by-step guide, is sent to the applicant on the email provided.
If a person is already in possession of a valid e-ID card or e-Residence Permit Card, but has never activated his/her e-ID account and now wishes to do so, the applicant would need to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org informing ICU that he/she would like her e-ID account to be activated. The e-ID Card Unit will then send an activation link and a step-by-step guide on the email address originally provided (on the application form), so that the applicant could access his/her account.
